Salsamania Dance Company

Founded in 2000 by John Narvaez and Liz Rojas, Salsamania Dance Company is one of the world’s top mambo dance companies, performing “San Francisco Style” salsa (a fusion of New York and Puerto Rican styles).

Our mission is to gain recognition in the world community as having the best performance teams and training organization. Our dancers are known for their flamboyant spirit, complicated footwork and patterns, and their ability to execute these to fast music.

Salsamania Dance Company currently consists of two training teams (On 1 and On 2), eight performance teams and over 80 members from 16 countries.

Salsamania dancers follow a structured dance education program allowing them to move through several levels while focusing on core values such as teamwork, professionalism, competition and grace. At the culmination of this training, skilled dancers who wish to perform may be invited to join one of our performance teams that compete and perform throughout the United States and abroad.

Performance Teams

Salsamania’s performance teams present more than 80 salsa/mambo performances annually. We have performed with Latin artists such as El Gran Combo, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and Son De Cali.

Our teams and instructors are invited regularly to perform at international salsa congresses in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Las Vegas, and New York. We have also traveled internationally to perform and teach in such places as Puerto Rico, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, and more.

Salsamania Pro

Salsamania Professional members have proven themselves to be among the best in the world, placing first at the 2011 and 2013 World Latin Dance Cup. They represent Salsamania in high-level performances and competitions all over the world. They have mastered their dancing and performance technique, and often continue to teach others through Salsamania’s community outreach programs and their own classes.
